Too bad. My boyfriend and I have had mostly positive experiences with them, until my last appointment. It was an unscheduled, urgent care visit, for my cat who was having stomach issues. Vomiting, diarrhea, all that. And a distended abdomen that they didn't seem to catch in the physical exam-- it took an x-ray for the doctor to notice. Anyway. I felt like they were selling me a car or a coffin when talking to the assistants. We walked out after spending $375 on a healthy dog. Won't be going back. I want my dog to have a personal vet. The vet just came in and talked to us for a minute or two and all the rest was done by the assistants.
Although this veterinarian is excellent in its care of animals, I will not be returning, except to complete the well puppy package I purchased. Their prices are outrageous! I was going to take the puppy there to be spayed, but they told me it would cost $525!!! And that was with a 5% discount for having purchased the well puppy package. I asked for that figure to be double checked, and, yep, that was the price. Service is excellent and caring. HOWEVER, making an appointment on line can be a challenge. I made the mistake of making an appointment then found out I made the appointment for the wrong pet. Seems impossible to cancel and re-book. Why?
The vet and vet tech care was neither as thorough nor as professional as what I've received elsewhere (new to area) and expect. The vet sent a prescription to my pharmacy, but gave no info on how my cat might respond (e.g., side effects, how to know if it's working). The vet left room before I could answer questions. The vet said nothing about following up. She also failed to explore options. I had to introduce ideas for discussion. Would not see same vet again.
