When Dr. McCllelland moved her practice, my insurance did not transfer. Now that I am on Medicare, it does, and she is once again my physician. She is a s good as ever!
Finally found a doctor I am comfortable with and trust. Dr. McClelland listens, explains everything, and actually cares about her patients. The office staff are great, competent, respectful, and I can always speak with someone when calling.
She is a great person!!!. She really cares about her patients.
Very thorough and patient. Answers all your questions while keeping you up to date on all the latest in the world of medicine, whether it's concerning your medications or your test results. Highly recommended!
Relatively easy to schedule appointments--when i was having a bad digestive problem, her staff fit me in the next morning. She listened to my description of symptoms and did a couple of tests before sending me to get a test at STRIC. By that night she called to tell me I had gall stones and would need surgery. She recommended a surgeon. She also gave me prescriptions and advice that allowed me to travel and then return for surgery.
She had no time management skills. Always late and rushes through appointment because she so far behind. You don't get the care you need and the attention you deserve. Always has an excuse.
Lack of communication. Called in wrong prescriptions. Had me come in for blood work and a follow up appt. for thyroid only to find out that the test hadn't even been ordered. Keeps wanting me to come in every 3 months for a 5 minute appts. Seems like she's just looking for ways to charge the insurance company.
always has a different staff, that seem to never know what they are doing. no one is smiling. dr. mclelland only talks, never listens and is rushing around and acts like she wishes she were somewhere else. very unprofessional. after 5 years of this, i can see why she cannot keep a staff and wonder why anyone would want her as a doctor. already found a new family physician after carefully vetting them. it is wonderful, like night and day. would never recommend dr. mcclelland.
going to her for 5 or 6 years. no more. have had enough. she is disorganized, moody, irritable, never listens, just talks and real fast, cannot understand her. she never has the same staff, always changing. that says alot about her right there. compared to all my other doctors, she is just a mess. (and looks it too) overweight and sloppy looking. never is in a good mood. don't need this weirdness anymore with my health concerns not being addressed. it's her way or no way. Do not waste your time.
