It was a slow Tuesday night here when we dined at Ted's but you never know - this place gets busy! Will greeted us, brought water for the table. We had a question about an alternative preparation for a protein. Will said this is a "scratch kitchen so we can make to order". I'd never heard that terminology before but good to know. Always reliable menu with a big selection for many tastes, ages, and dietary preferences/restrictions. Best shakes ever, and incredible huge dessert cakes! Burgers are a go-to item, and where else can you get a side of cheddar cheese grits?
The food was great. Overall ambience was really good service. Excellent desserts were amazing. Try the homemade pop tarts an apple caramel à la mode ..
Fantastic experience with great food. We just moved to DC and wanted to take our family out to eat. We have two small children and are overly concerned about them being a nuisance. Ted's was friendly, welcoming and a great place to eat. We will be back!

Had a great time at a new spot for us. Took the wife, and the food was outstanding. The staff was tremendous, and my man T was very gracious. It was the perfect prelude to going to the miracle theater just down the street.

Food was amazing. I was also happy that we had a reservation & they didn’t make us wait anytime after. We were on time & they sat us as soon as we arrived. Every single employee at this place was nice & respectful. That’s not something you see/witness everyday. Tell the manager that the employees are doing amazing! I’m definitely coming back & I don’t even live in DC.
