I have enjoyed La Strada many times in the past (Long ago, like 40 years ago) it was great back then. Now...the food was not what I expected, mediocre at best, and the menu lacking. The place was really noisy, the kitchen is in the dining room (I HATE that, I can eat in the kitchen in any diner in town). The decor was not what I expected, it used to be lovely, now it's gaudy. I made this reservation almost a month before our visit. Booked a room at the El Dorado. (the Large Players Suite). I love this place! So that is why I wanted to have my birthday dinner there. The food was spectacular as usual. But I hated the table. Part of the experience I like is that old dinner house feel. The place was not busy, 630 on a Sunday evening. The service was great! Friendly & felt relaxed not rushed. The food was amazing! The appetizers were my main course and perfect. Will be back again.
Our server Chris was great! The bread basket, fried calamari and homemade gelato (espresso) were fantastic. My risotto was a tad or two under cooked but had great flavor and the scallops were perfect. I am stumped though on how you don’t have the ingredient’s to make the cocktails on your menu. Three drink orders later my daughter finally received a drink for her birthday dinner. Chris was very friendly and never skipped a bear.

We had a nice meal here at Roxy, with a pair of french onion soups, a NY strip, and lamb chops all cooked perfectly. Finished with a chocolate souffle. Would come again

As a reno local we have been dining here for years. I wish la strada would bring back the tasting menu. The food was lacking, in many years last night was the first time I ever had to salt my food here, and the calamari fell short of fresh. The bread they bring used to be a few types of bread, and was just garlic bread. I will absolutely still come back and I'll tell you why! First of all our server was great.
