Overall it is a good situation and we would recommend it to other families, but we do have a couple issues. Now this is our loved ones choosing so not completely their fault but when our loved ones meal gets delivered it sometimes is cold and unappetizing. Also we really don't like these specific care charges - we were led to believe three meals would be provided every day and that they can be delivered to their rooms which is true, but its an extra [fee removed] to have the meals delivered. I would highly recommend this community for you or your loved one. They have activities like games, bingo and more for the residents to do to have a good time.
Overall it has been a good experience. It's a friendly place with good staff. The apartments are good, a little on the smaller side, but that's pretty typical of senior living anywhere. My loved one had some complaints with the food at first, but once she figured out she can select what she likes, she's been much happier. They offer daily activities and trips. The cost seems high but is comparable to other places.
They are very professional, and are a wonderful addition to the community of Gulf Breeze. The food was very good. The activities offered during the time I was there wasn't a lot of outdoor activities available. They had council meetings for the residents that was well organized and professional with wonderful responses.
What really makes this place is the staff, they are excellent, and so helpful. This is a very safe place, and a very good place for your loved one. However, they do complain about the meals and for the price they are paying they should be the best meals ever. The portion sizes are not always adequate and it is not always prepared the best.
My first impression with The Arbors right away was just how friendly and helpful the staff members are.
They do have social activities but I think that it would be great if they did an orientation for the new residents to get used to the community and have someone that they can speak to if they have some issues. It would be nice to meet monthly and check in with residents for any new things, issues or good things that you want to share. The administrative staff work very hard and are very pleasant to work with. We get information in pieces and it would be nice if more communication was there.
This was a beautiful community; however, it felt cold during the tour.
We toured this community and the tour was very good. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
