I would say to definitely visit a handful of locations before making a decision. It will help you what to expect with memory care. We felt Ashford had the best physical layout with the outdoor courtyard being surrounded by the building. We liked the loop where the residents can get to common areas or their room regardless of which way they go. The staff has been good and has given us reasonable expectations. My mother-in-law has gained weight which is a good thing.

We toured The Ashford of Grove City and it was a nice facility. We had a good tour. The cleanliness, friendliness, and staff were all good. However, we believed that our loved one aligned with the activities more at another facility that we had toured than they would have at this facility.

I would say they are very good and caring and have a lot to offer. The rooms and facilities are very nice and clean. That being said, they are short staffed like most places and things didn't always go as planned. Most staff are very caring, but there was a nurse or two that occasionally was grumpy. Occasionally she didn't get her shower, when scheduled, or her laundry done or trash emptied. One night they forgot to put her in bed and she sat in her chair all night and no one noticed. The staff was properly appalled and apol... read more

My loved one is still settling in and there were some glitches in communication and with staffing levels but they are improving. A major move is never easy and takes time to adjust to. But it is worth the effort.

Seems to be a good place for someone who is actually willing to use all of the services. The rooms are big from what we've seen and over all, a decent experience. As I would assume with most, once you get done fighting to get services set up (Dr., Psych and PT) everything seems to run well. I think a lot of it has to do with the family member-resident's attitude and verifying reality from perception. Also, as with medical care or any other services for senior dependents, families have to be advocates for their relatives. Als... read more

They are all friendly. My loved one did not complain about the food, and it seems pretty good. They were very engaging with the activies. I am pretty pleased overall. They do their job.

We chose The Ashford of Grove City because the location was by the house he had so he was very familiar with that area and also the presentation of the facility was very appealing. The rooms are very spacious and inviting, they have plenty of activities offered for residents and the staff are great. I would absolutely recommend The Ashford to others looking.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mom moved into The Ashford of Grove City. It's a very nice community. It's brand new and very clean. The nursing staff is amazing. I'm in constant communication with the head nurse all the time about things going on with my mom. They have a really good event coordinator who does events for both senior living and the memory care unit, which I think is nice. So we were really happy with it. It's on the cheaper side of some of the other nursing homes that we visited.

I would recommend you consider the community for your loved ones as it is a good place. I feel comfortable knowing my loved one is being taken care of here. The nurses and staff are amazing. I know it is a safe place for my loved as well. The communication with the staff is really good if the family has questions or concerns about our loved one. Most of the food looks appealing for the residents and three meals are served by the community. The community will have meals delivered to the residents or have the residents eat in ... read more
