I have a membership to The Edge Fitness Clubs / The Edge Fitness Clubs Warwick and I didn't notice this sooner but I realized they had been charging me twice a month since October and they owe me $178. I called and spoke to Liz and she said it is because I used to get personal training and when I canceled because I was having surgery, they never had me sign a form. Its a nice gym but they werent sympathetic when it came to covid when people were losing their jobs and hours at work, I tried canceling because i couldnt afford anymore and they said I needed a doctors note or i had to pay a ridiculous amount of money to cancel membership...if I cant pay the $10 membership fee what makes you think i can pay more to cancel...i wouldnt recommend this gym, ill never go back, I prefer a gym who's more understanding and not greedy
Totally disgusted with this gym. I called them in July for cancellation options due to the GLOBAL PANDEMIC and was told by Carter that I could freeze my account and then cancel in November which was my contract renewal date. I specifically asked if that would effect my contract date and was assured that it would not. If you are looking into joining The Edge Fitness Club, I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO NOT. Save your time & save your money. My husband & I signed a contract for two years mostly because we could work out while our girls enjoyed the daycare, then this whole pandemic happened. After those few months of staying inside, they decided to reopen but keep the daycares closed so we still weren't able to go to the gym so we decided that we would just cancel our membership. I have a serious medical condition and even with a note from my physician indicating that I cannot use the edge fitness clubs, ABC Financial (the finance partner of edge fitness club) refused to allow me to cancel my membership early. I have never been more disgusted with an organization in my life. Believe every negative review you read about this organization, and do not use their services if your gym partners with them. They are horrific, having not even a morsel of human decency.
I am so disappointed in the Edge. I've gone there a total of three times. Recently I went to check it out after Covid to find the again the reasons why I hated going there. No one was cleaning their equipment after use and no one was enforcing it. There were so many people not wearing masks-again no one was enforcing it. I did try to call to complain and cancel my account but I was not allowed to cancel. I am so incredibly disappointed and disgusted by the staff.

I have loved The Edge Fitness Center since I first joined it. It is a beautiful and clean space in which to work out. This Monday was the first time I came back to the gym, since it had to close, due to the pandemic. I found in Edits cleaning stations with rolls of paper tiles and disinfectant sprays, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers. I like that there is social distancing at the cardio workout areas. I joined Edge back in January 2020. I signed up for a simple membership + personal training sessions. I completed a program with my personal trainer and cancelled my membership in the end of March. READ YOUR CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING!!! If you cancel within the 1st year, you are still going to be charged your membership fees every month plus an annual fee of $49.99.
