She guides you easily through dozens of decisions by first listening and getting to know your tastes and preferences, then offering thoughtful suggestions. I also had a few tricky space problems, but she came up with creative, practical solutions that I am really happy about.

We feel we ended up with a better and beautiful kitchen with the guidance from Mary Kate, our Kitchen Specialist expert. We visited various places to look at all the kitchen products including backsplash, lighting, etc. that we would have never known to visit.
In the summer of 2015, after living in the spec house we bought brand new 17 years earlier — disliking our small kitchen exponentially with each passing year — we began seriously considering a redesign. I've known Mary for many years and have worked with her on numerous projects, some of which have been reviewed on Houzz. She is the premiere kitchen designer in the triangle and I've worked with many. Her attention to detail is fabulous and she knows all of her products from front to back. I've seen her interact with her clients on many occasions and she makes them all feel like part of her company family. If you are thinking about a kitchen or multi room remodel, you should definitely talk to her about your project.

I went to the Kitchen Specialist to help me design and build a kitchen in a 90 year old building. After the demolition, the space was without walls or defined spaces - just one big open room.
