I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Pet Wellness Florence office. They made the process much easier to bear today. One tech was MIMIS Nurse her entire time with me. She shed tears with us as the process took place, she and Mimi were buddies from the start, it was a love/hate relationship, she got a few bruises over the years from her bite, but loved her as we did. I cannot praise this place enough. My miniature dachshund began choking on a bone this morning and couldn't breathe for minutes while I did the Heimlich and scoop technique on her. It was so bad she was foaming at the mouth. Then when I finally cleared her airway after probably 4 minutes, she seemed catatonic and limp. I RUSHER her to this vet, which is her normal veterinarian and they jumped right into action taking the best care of her! Kat enjoyed her visit today at her new vet! Friends & family tell me I'm a helicopter mom when it comes to my cat... well duhhh... she's my BABY! I was very impressed with how patient & gentle everyone handled her. We went in for her yearly vaccinations + some concerns about scabs/wounds on her skin & occasional irritated/watery eyes. I feel confident that we have found the culprit...food allergy! I left with new food for her specially formulated for cats with food allergies. Now... we wait and see how she reacts! I took my two toy poodles, Troy and Tee Tee, to the Pet Wellness Group several months ago for dental work, and I was very impressed with the entire staff and how they run their clinic. The facility was immaculate, cleaner than any hospital I've been to. This, in and of itself, speaks volumes about their attitude and attention to detail. Good hygiene is super important to prevent the spread of pet illnesses. Everyone was friendly, warm, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Wilson & Dr. Bowen are my 2 frenchies veterinarians and I appreciate all the care they give them. We've been coming to Pet Wellness group for their care for over a year now, and I trust them and know the advice and care they give is what they would do for their own pets. The staff is always wonderful on the phones and the techs are compassionate and knowledgeable as well! Thank you for taking such good care of our pups!
