Get directionsI visited this facility I was a patient at the plaza. I had 2 broke arms ,1 broke leg,1 crushed leg. I was there for 9 months. If it wasn't for the aides ,nurses and physical therapy. I would never have made it home. I liked it so good. I'm having a knee replacement. I'm planning on going back for therapy. I would recommend it to anyone
I visited this facility When I was a kid growing up in Lubbock, our church youth group used to take Sunday Morning Service to what we ignorantly referred to as "the old folks home." Though it is certainly an awful reference for a venue where I have had numerous family members pass on, its negative connotation is somewhat warranted"”a place where teen "angels feared to tread." I watched elder family members practically whither away here and in a few other similar places throughout Lubbock over the years. Often, and most likel... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Absolute worst experience ever. It took them nearly 2 days to resume critical meds when admitted, the therapy treated her awful, and she was left in bed screaming and crying in pain when she simply asked the nurse to help her move her leg- he refused. The place is unclean, nurses and staff rude and dismissive, and may have caused my mother her life. She is in the Hospital now septic because the staff and Dr. Skinner would not listen to my concerns about serious issues/symp... read more
Other I cried this weekend about my Daddy since my Dad been there he has several falls .They said he slipped out his chair . When dad was home he never had this many problems. They told me they only check on the resident every two hours. I replied that is not enough checks and that why my Daddy has so many falls, and my dad said he can't find staff. MY Daddy was not shaved and he use to love taking bath and shaving but they complained he does'nt like to bath now and that bother me . They only can shower on certain days and i... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My parent never gets her meds she ask for the food looks gross! She gets lied to. She is in her right mind and they treat her disrespectful. They do not want to work. At night they wake my mom up turning on the light to change her roommate around 2:00 in the morning trying to wake her up. She wears a bandana on her head. Told my mom she could only stay gone to visit 48 hours when it’s 72 hours.
I visited this facility The facility is filthy, housekeeping obviously doesn’t do anything. I know that they didn’t clean the room my loved one was in because there was food under her bed for 3 months. They are NEVER staffed properly, one CNA to 32 residents. There were several days she didn’t get a bath because of staffing. The food is not eatable most of the time. She got a pork chop that was so hard and dry that it could of broken a window if thrown at it, she was told she couldn’t have a snack because she wasn’t on the “... read more
I am a friend or relative of resident The Plaza at Lubbock is a horrible place. It was okay and things went unseen the first couple of times I visited. The other few times I had been by to visit, I witnessed a nurse being very rude and impatient with the roommate of whom I was visiting, It was friday at around 7pm. The nurse said "I don't have time for this, Im trying to go home". ( waiting for the elderly woman to take her medication) as I was walking out there was vomit in the drinking fountain and I informed one of the st... read more
