The move in efforts from the sales team was great. [name removed] met with us virtually and then face to face to review misc apartments so my mom could decide. They moved us into a temporary location so she could be discharged from the hospital. Very accommodating. Very helpful.

This facility was in a major overhaul of employees at the short time that my parents were there, so I feel this attributed to many of the problems we had. There were a few outstanding employees, the rest of the staff did their best. The food was not good- complaints by many of the residents. The chef had been fired or quit, so the new person was not good. The staff was friendly. I would give a poor rating on the housekeeping on the assisted living side. I would say it's very nice, good location, price comparable to others and offers a lot for the residents as far as activities and options. We picked this community because of the location.

We picked this community, because my loved one was familiar with the facility. I looked at other places, and this one is smaller, and more intimitae. it's bright, light, and very nice. The smallness allows them to have a more intimate setting. The location is excellent. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

The staff is very concisions of meeting the needs of the residents. All of the staff are communicative with the family and they keep us updated about our loved one. If there is anything that changes about our loved one they call immediately to update us. There are three meals a day served and there are choices to choose from. Some of the activities include: exercise classes, chair yoga, physical therapy, walking in the hall, and more for the residents to participate in. I thought The Westmore was really nice. It was in a really nice part of town, and close to where I live. It was a beautiful place, but fancier than what my mom preferred.

The meals and dining service needs major improvement. If you sit in the wrong section of the dining hall you risk not getting your full meal. It takes so long to eat dinner there before of the slower service and sometimes when your meal is finally delivered you might only get half of what they are serving. It is not the most expensive community in the area, but with the way the meals are going it is just not the best value. During the past 12 months they have had two Executive Directors and they have been without a permanent Director for months. The quality of service has been very uneven and I don't believe myloved one has had good continuum of care. During all this management turmoil the facility has instituted a price increase.

I think the only thing that I would tell future families is that there is no Director. That means there's no one to help explain anything. Also, the previous Director told us that residents have access to transportation during the week. That's also untrue. There is only one day (maybe two) out of the week that residents can get rides to places. And that's when the driver isn't on vacation or hasn't called in.
