Went for a consultation at TLC on a Tuesday and by Friday 830am I was having LASIK. I’m very satisfied with dr wexler and his team. Answered any and all questions I had, was very informative. I was Sent here by another satisfied client of TLC. I will gladly send anyone who’s wanting lasik to see the people at TLC in St Louis
My experience with TLC Laser Eye Center was awesome! The front desk staff were great very profesional and kind. The doctors were very informative with the eye examination to allow you to decide which procedure was best for you. They explained every step of what was happening during the consultation. The whole process and experience was better than expected. I had put off getting lasik for a long time. I then finally went in for a consultation and was told I had infiltrates in my corneas and my corneas were thinner than average. I was turned away at that time and given steroid eye drops to use for a couple weeks. When I returned, the infiltrates in my eyes had gone away yet my corneas were still of course thinner than ideal. I can see. Lasik was a painless procedure... Just felt considerable pressure for around 10 seconds on each eye. A couple hours of eyes burning afterwards. Not unlike soap in the eyes but not quite that bad. Definitely had some light sensitivity. Two weeks post surgery and the cloudiness of gone. The worst part was my anxiety and fear led me to tighten up and I pulled a muscle in my back..lol.
I received PRK here on November 23rd. I was very nervous for this procedure after reading about it, but I only experienced slight discomfort for two days and was seeing clear within a week (which is really fast for PRK). I appreciated the conservative approach Dr. Wexler and TLC took with my eyes when it came to risk as they recommended PRK instead of LASIK in my case. Being able to see clearly without glasses or contacts is truly amazing.
The nurses and doctors were amazing. They explained everything in great detail and made sure I was comfortable through the whole procedure.
