Terrible experience !
Dr. V's staff, specifically his assistant, is rude, insulting, and unprofessional. There is a severe lack of communication. The treatment plan was not discussed. We had no idea a series of shots would be needed. Dr. V. couldn't wait a few extra minutes for anesthesia to work after I waited, for the second time, for over an hour to be seen. He put a cage in my neck and Lord knows what else then disappeared and closed his office and now that I have lumps in my neck and I'm having problems, he is nowhere to be found in this state or any other. If anybody knows where he is please let me know I have a thing or two to say to him and I would also like to find out what is wrong with my neck I was good enough to take my money but now that it's a follow-up he's nowhere to be found
This doctor was a "no show" yesterday. The appt was made about 4 wks ago after I was injured & an MRI revealed the reason for the pain so I was referred to him. It was the soonest they could fit me in they said, & I was asked to arrive at 9:15 for a 9:30 appt. I was taken to an exam room (shortly after 10) across from his office, where I could see he was working. He even went to get coffee after being told I was his next patient by the nurse. By 10:50 I left to get back to work. Still in pain.
Poor communication never returns phone calls
Every time I had an appointment, I asked to see my X-rays. I'd think he would come back and show them to me, but then all of a sudden I'm being whisked to the checkout desk and at that point, it's like fine, I'm just going to leave. I know I could've been more insistent but still, I think it's ridiculous and insulting to a patient's intelligence to tell them "you broke your elbow and wrist" but I never see images and no one ever tells me the actual BONES I broke. Elbow and wrist aren't bones.
My experience with this so called Dr. was horrific . Very bad attitude I have never met this man before and I had two surgeons from Scottsdale AZ tell me I need a hip replacement and even show This Jones the MRI . When he came into the room he looked very angry, I have never laid eyes on this man before, he either didn't want to be bothered or something upset him before he came in or he does not know what he's talking about. I was having a problem with bursitis in my left hip. A friend of mine suggested that I see Dr Vliegenthhart a doctor who had helped her with a back problem. Trusting that this doctor was experienced with bursitis problems, I made an appointment and he suggested that I get a cortisone cocktail shot for my hip. Since the shot I have had leg pains. Wondering if it were a side effect, I called several times and no one ever responded. I am very disappointed and still in pain.
