RecommendedI have had to use this hospital many times over the years. They have always been supportive and wonderful. I think they should have a discount for senior citizens. They gave me 8 more months with my beloved Sam. We have been here for many things and have always been supportive and excellent at surgery and many other things. I am grateful they are here.
RecommendedOver the last 6 years I have had to use this Emergency Hospital 3 times. The difference between this 24 hour vet hospital and our only other fairly close by 24 hour vet hospital in Springfield is night and day. This staff is caring, work quickly to evaluate your animal and have a vet look at them. The cleanliness is reassuring to know your animal is safe from contagious diseases. We are very happy we have found them. We know in an emergency our pet will be well taken care of.

Our Shih Tzu had ingested part of a grape, knowing that grapes can be extremely toxic to some dogs, I called VESH and was told to induce vomiting with Hydrogen Peroxide and if that didn't work, to bring him in so that they could induce vomiting. Of course, the peroxide didn't make him vomit so off we go. When we got there, he was brought in very quickly, the vet induced vomiting and up comes the grape. They also pushed fluids to flush his system, and ran a blood test to check for kidney function (which was normal). Yes all t... read more

A huge thank you to all of the staff at veterinary emergency specialty hospital in South Deerfield for taking such good care of our 5 month old black lab when he chewed an electrical cord. The politeness and knowledge of staff was very comforting. Timber came home the next day with reassurance that he's ok.
