My father has actually been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks; so, I've had less interaction with the staff at the Weatherly recently. Prior to his hospital admittance, however, we were satisfied with my father's care. Communication from the staff leaves something to be desired, but as long as we reach out to them frequently for updates, we've appreciated the steps they've taken to ease my father's transition.
What stood out most to me is the great food, the caring staff and the clean environment. Another thing that stood out are the beautiful grounds.
Really friendly. They all know each other very well. The facility is really beautiful with great indoor and outdoor spaces. Beauty salon, putting green, big banquet room that you can use for private party. Rooms are quiet and the service is great. It's not full yet so the only downside is that there are only about 50 people there so there will likely be more social opportunities when it fills up more
Though my dad was not happy leaving his home, from my mother’s and mine perspective it was the only choice we had. Weatherly Inn was my favorite choice from the start. It’s new, beautiful and well thought out. I love all the windows and beautiful antique pieces all through the halls and gathering places. It felt like my parents home and my family agree with me. Beautiful facility. Delicious food. Doctor visits memory care weekly. Activity director for IL/AL and another one for MC. Friendly front staff. Caregivers visible and easy to talk to. Hairdresser visits. Updates (phone calls) when needed. Bed, linens, towels, TP, Soap ... everything provided for MC
The facility is beautiful with the common areas every well appointed. There are many beautiful areas to sit and visit with other residents as well as family and friends. The care staff is excellent, very competent and friendly. The apartments are wonderful with fireplaces and washer/dryer in each apartment. Overall is it an appealing and pleasant place for seniors to live with care to meet the needs of each individual.
On boarding/ intake has some efficiency issues and the meds desk needed help the first 3 weeks getting diet and med information sorted. Have exact lists in both digital and paper form and give your diet and med information to every potentially relevant person.
