I recently moved from pittsburgh with roxy my boxer and a few weeks later adopted a kitten named Sven. I was in need of a local vet and did my research because I am very particular about vetinarian practices. I am SO glad I found Dr. Nash and his staff. I started taking my cat here for his check-ups, shots and help with his allergies after being recommended by a kind employee at MedVet (24 hr emergency care). I was pleasantly surprised, the prices were extremely reasonable and I received very honest and knowledgeable advice. The people here seem to really care about the pets they work with, and are very friendly. I trust them to care for my cat, and I feel comfortable to recommend them to others.
Dr Nash has been great for us. We take our Golden Retriever to him and have had everything from normal check ups to emergency visits with Dr. Nash. He knows his stuff, prices are reasonable, his staff is fantastic, hours and availability are also a plus.
Stopped in here briefly on Christmas Eve of this year for a quick visit for my dog. They aren't my normal veterinary place, but free calling them to make sure they were open, they were more than happy to help. After filling out some quick paperwork and Dr. Nash patched her up we were on her way--and the visit didn't cost me an arm and a leg, which is what you sometimes encounter when you need an emergency, nonscheduled visit. Consistent with other reviews, this practice works for regular maintenance for your pet. But the practice is not there for its patients when an emergency occurs. What's the point in having a vet who KNOWS YOUR PET'S HISTORY not being interested in helping you when a critical situation happens. Our pet had recently ingested some medication and we called to get in to see Dr.Nash. Eden, on staff, was quite indifferent and expressed no concern in caring about the situation. Very unfortunate and unprofessional.
I would not recommend this vet. The staff is not overly friendly. Just as another review stated, vet is okay for vaccinations but not there there when you have an emergency. My dog had uncontrollable bloody diarrhea so I called, they couldn't get me in for 2 days. They told me to get to medvet. I called another local vet and they got us in right away, and we're concerned about the issue. I get the idea that nash doesn't have time or care about pets or people. Go somewhere else to be treated with some respect.
Dr Nash does well for vaccines but when you really need him he is NOT available! left a message and no reply to my disappointment and frustration during an emergency with my dog.
I am moving to the area and saw that this vet had the type of treatment my dog has, so it was the first place I called. My dog just had surgery to repair a ligament and I was told they would not see him because he had surgery elsewhere. Clearly this vet does not care about your animal's well-being, but only his pocket book. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
I am concerned that other reviewers show confidence in Dr. Nash. We did, too, until we really needed care for our family golden retriever. That was when, after 6 years of regular health visits, we discovered that this clinic is not competent in true medical situations. With our dog suffering and presenting signs of malaise, we reached out to Dr. Nash, who kept telling us that arthritis, allergies, or a reaction to medication were the culprits.
