The care I received from Dr. Monash and his entire staff was attentive and complete from the very first appointment. His practice has complete care from insurance questions to nutritional support. The weight I have lost in the past year has not only improved my appearance, my chronic pain and fatigue is almost a thing of the past. The improvement in my health and outlook on life has been a gift to me and my family.

I paid for REY out-of-pocket when it was clear there is no adequate treatment for T 2 Diabetes! Not only did my blood sugar fall the day after surgery (before ANY weight loss); but, I've had no trouble with high blood sugar since. My cravings--those appetites that drove me for 20 y--disappeared over night and I am able to eat as I should have--but could never--from young adulthood on. Dr. Monash worked with me personally to ensure I would enjoy a great health outcome. He gave me my life back.

All physicians should see how his office is run from the front office to the doc's assistant to the doctor himself. After four ER visits and a Gastro doctors refusal to see me he got me in the next morning a showed me the reason my JPEG had been leaking so bad I had a 4 1/2 centimeter whole in my side w/ the cat scans the hospital had taken all three visits. I was in the hospital for one month and did fine for a year.

My husband spent almost 9 months ( and once or twice weekly visits, 40 minutes from our home), being treated for venous stasis ulcers on his left ankle. All that time with a garbage bag to cover his leg during showers. All that time not working out because my husband didn't want the sweat fouling the graphs since he couldn't wash. Finally, last August, we stopped because we weren't getting ANY results, (and at times the wounds getting worse!) and we really wanted to go away & didn't want to have to deal with the garbage bag!... read more

I absolutely would not recommend Dr Monash. He laced a lap band, then afterwards told us that prior to surgery he told us I should do the gastric by pass! What? There were two of us at the appointment when he told us about the by pass vs the gastric and suggested the lap band!! Monash was waiting to get his certificate of excellence. He rushed me through his system without enough information telling me that after the operation I could work with his assistant. He stopped that right after the procedure.! Monash made arrangemen... read more

I have been working with this office for a year. They never communicated with me my surgery was authorized. The coordinator blamed it on COVID. The physician who referred me had to call the office twice to get things moving. It did not make a difference. I have done the required follow up labs etc, yet do not get a response to my messages on the status. I judge the surgeon by his staff. They dont call back. I wont use this doctor and would recommend you look elsewhere. I dont believe this practice cares about helping p ed op... read more

My daughter had a gastric sleeve surgery in 2014. At our first meeting with Dr. Monash, he said his surgeries were highly successful and he did not have bile leaks because of his surgery techniques. My daughter had the gastric sleeve surgery and the next morning she woke up in great pain. Dr. Monash came in and said she had a bile leak. He took her back into surgery and when she woke up from surgery, she was sick and vomited. She aspirated the vomit into her lungs. Long story short, she had

Please be thorough in your investigation of office fees and what your insurance doesn't cover. I was in the office for a very quick lap band fill adjustment; actual procedure takes 30 seconds. Dr. Monash's office bill $1100 for this procedure and my out of pocket cost after insurance (I found out when I got billed) was $440; THAT IS ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGIOUS!!! I got nowhere with his billing rep. Across the country out of pocket expence for a fill adjustment is $75-250 cash.
