Dr. Shanavas is one of the finest GI doctors I have worked with, and I have been receiving his care for nearly a decade. I am a very picky person. I went to Dr. Shanavas and was very impressed with his service. He was patient, listened to all of my concerns, explained to me with examples and recommended options. His explanation was so simple that even a person with non science background like me could understand. Most importantly, he did not hurry the appointment and patiently answered all questions. I never have the habit of leaving reviews but today I was motivated to do so. Would high recommend this doctor.

Dr. Shanavas is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and caring. He explains things clearly and always takes the time to answer any questions.
My wife and I are both extremely satisfied with Dr Shanavas. Among the very best with talking to patients, explaining procedures & outcomes. The staff for the procedures were great and personable in working with us before, during and after our procedures. We will return to him for future screening and treatment.
I have been going to him since I believe 2007 and I will continue to do so. I live 2 1/2 hours away but he has been the best when I needed a trustworthy doctor. Prior to going to Dr. Shanavas I don't recall being comfortable when the doctor spoke with me. With Dr. Shananvas I do.

It had been 10 years since I had seen Dr. shanavas and I went back for a scheduled colonoscopy. Not only is he a great doctor he is a great man. He takes the time to explain everything to you and does not rush you out or make you feel dumb for not understanding him right away.
