ZODIAC BARRACUDA G3 I just purchased my third Barracuda G3 and could not be happier. I just had my pool resurfaced and got rid of a ladder that was placed at the end of the pool which was an issue with the operation of the G3, now no longer an issue and the Barracuda does not get stuck anymore and it is working great!. This system is very effective and simple to operate and replace parts.

There is ONLY 1 MOVING PART. Think about that. Sadlyl, this G3 Suction cleaner worked so well, the company discontinued it! You read right, it has been discontinued BECAUSE it works so well and it does not perpetuate planned obsolescence. Zodiac G3 This unit is a replacement for older G3. The third I have owned. Like the quality of the product. Get about 4 yrs service out of most of the components. I like it.
Hangs up on steps It cleans debris well. Clogs quickly with heavy leaves in fall. Requires constant watch and attention. It tends to stay in one corner. I have to drag it to opposite end of pool to clean elsewhere. I think it would work well without ladder steps &/or in shallow pool.
Great Product I have only had it a few weeks, but it is keeping our pool spotless! It will not climb our steps, back they are easy to brush if needed. It was getting stuck in the 90 degree corners so I removed a section of hose and it no longer gets stuck.
