It’s a rare thing to discover a bank that genuinely cares about the people it serves and 717 Credit Union is that kind of bank. Jennifer at the Cortland branch was a big help and referred me to Emily who specializes in fixed heloc loans. They both were the sweetest, most accommodating, professional, proficient bankers around. I have never encountered a bank that totally helps as well as understands their customers. Everyone was very helpful especially Sherri Sayre. The only thing I did not like was calling the banking authorization number which no one ever answered and there was no voicemail on it. Sherri had to contact them for me many times and I was very frustrated. If they are too busy you need to hire more people in that department !!

It couldn't have been easier. I called and requested a HELOC and the loan officer did all the rest. The documents were processed/signed electronically, necessary copies of financial documentation were uploaded at the branch near our home as well as final signing at local branch and in less than a week all was processed and final. That's why all my personal accounts and our mortgage are with 717. Excellent service and expert, efficient employees.
