Very clean. Short staffed due to covid but they did a really good job! Food could’ve been better/more snacks. All in all great place!
Great facility, but more importantly the staff was amazing. All nurses and staff were caring and respectful. Counselors and group sessions were open, considerate, and understanding. I thought I\'d feel alone, but instead, I was embraced and no judgments were made. There was laughing and crying but in the end, it was greatly helpful. There is also continued communication after leaving which, continues to guide changes and fully support each patient.
I loved my 3 week stay here .. counselors were very helpful so were the nurses , Rebecca (counselor) and sue (nurse) made a HUGE impact on my stay and on my life... I did detox and residential.. I learned a bunch of coping mechanisms and met an amazing group of people that also impacted my life..
My first and hopefully last time in rehab and must say I'm glad I came here in North Kingston Rhode Island. First thing the staff was professional friendly and always helpful. Second the Facility was clean as any nice hotel. The rooms were as you would expect at any rehab with 2 to 3 beds with good foam mattress and clean sheets and blankets. My experience at Adcare was extremely positive and live-changing. I finally confronted my defects snd addressed them, or should I say began to address them, in a serious, lifelong manner.
Strengths:Clean, 2-3 person rooms, somewhat relaxed atmosphere Weakness:For profit agency! When attempting to ween off medication they are not competent. No physician on staff. Staff not willing to put the clients best interest at heart. I kept getting the run around from the staff. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Because it's a for-profit agency, their goal is to keep you there as long as possible...even if it is not required.

Great staff. Needs more faith based programs. Great meals, plenty of snacks and plenty of much needed cigarette and vapor breaks.
Overall a very good program
SSTAR Detox is a great place to start your sober life. Unfortunately, I relapsed and I need hospitalization for my next detox. Hopefully, I will not need this again.
