A fine scanner for the money This is an excellent scanner, and does quality scans very quickly. It can be used with Ubuntu Linux as well as Windows. The page feeder works, but you have to be fairly careful how you stack the papers in the tray. Pages need to be fairly straight and stacked in one at a time. The only problem I had is that it's somewhat tricky to get the paper to feed through straight - documents scan successfully, but can end up feeding through tilted, which shows up in the final image. Best Scanner Oh Brother This little scanner is so perfect & I have the neat scanner but I do not like it near as much as the brother scanner. Advantages are: small footprint, great scans, faster than neat scanner, and I have more control, better menu choices & simpler, and it's wireless. You need one of these!

Good and bad For being the first scanner I get to own all I can say is that is an overall a good scanner but it does have its flaws. First I scan all day at work and usually is about 15 to 20 papers at a time and once it scanning it its all going good for the most part, but the scanner does not have something to hold the papers in place so they tend to move and causes a jam in the scanner, which then requires me to take all of them out and do it all over again and it just kills time. its good scanning for less pages runs a s... read more
Great for scanning ID cards. WiFi works great, Small footprint. Does exactly what I intended it for, software setup was a bit troublesome, once I got it installed it functioned well. Install this while connected to a PC then go wireless. Scans id cards quick, be sure to set up custom scan for plastic cards.
I love how it quickly scans both sides of large piles ... Pros: I love how it quickly scans both sides of large piles of documents. Processes receipts less than 12 inches long very well. Cons: Doesn't process as large a pile as advertised. When scanning piles of documents, it's best to use all the same size docs. Does not process well, more than one receipt at a time. Fast and Compact I have used this mainly to create simple PDF files from letter sized paper. I have not tried any of the more advanced functions offered by the bundled software, so I can't comment on how effective that is. What I can speak to is the speed and ability of this scanner in general. I have used it to scan stacks of up to 12 pages of 32lb paper, and it has had no jams at all. It is very fast.
