They are always so friendly and kind here. James was amazing and I didn't have to wait long at all! Food was tasty and the vibe for dinner is perfect for a group or solo.

My friend and I always passed by AKA and wanted to try it out. From looks outside and inside- the aesthetic is 100%. Super pretty and instagrammable and that's what drew us in. However, the experience inside unfortunately didn't match. I mean if you're ready for a Vegas style dining experience this is your place. Visited Friday night, group of eight to celebrate a birthday, we ordered about eight-ten a combination of different appetizers and dishes to share. Food was delicious - definitely a 5 star for that. Music was also great. The service was not at par; drinks took a very long time to get, we decided to order two at a time as we did not know when we will get more. One of the coolest atmospheres in the Gaslamp, but with the food and drinks that can hold their own. I wanted to take my cousin for a girl's night out for her birthday, and this was the perfect spot. Aka is an absolute vibe! From the moment we walked in, the energy was electric! A live DJ spinning great music, dancers adding a fun and unexpected twist, and an ambience that felt both upscale and exciting. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented.
