We looked up where are some of the new and exciting restaurants in San Diego and AKA came up on our search. We were not disappointed and would recommend AKA as an exciting new restaurant with great food and atmosphere.
Business dinner. Everything was outstanding; food, drinks, service. Definitely one of the best experiences of the week in the Gaslamp.

The steak was literally like rubber and my boyfriend had to send it back. The next state they brought out was almost worse and not edible. Overall, the atmosphere was really fun, but I only recommend this place for drinks and not their food.
This place is more of a scene and night club than a restaurant. The food was just okay. I wasn’t impressed. It was loud and difficult to hear each other. Service was good though. I won’t go back.
Great food and services, will definitely be back for more outing and birthday celebrations.
The place is nice and the people that work there are very friendly. However the food takes more time than expected and the food is between average and below average. Nigiris are ok. Pad Thai the worst I have ever eaten.
The Wagyu beef appetizer was super tough and chewy, which is the exact opposite of what Wagyu beef is supposed to be. The flavor was good, but I wore my jaw out, chewing it. The same was true with the fillet, overcooked and tough. I think whoever the meat supplier is needs to be changed out.
