At the time I took our rescue, in. We had been going to Alameda Vet Clinic for several years. Taking in several rescues and fosters. I took our boy in, it seemed like he was having some breathing issues. We went back and fourth for a couple of months. XRAYS, MEDICATIONS, BLOODWORK, XRAYS, MEDICATONS, BLOODWORK. We moved from Illinois about 6 years ago and Dr. Wilks was a great vet an got our puppy through a prolapsed urethra and a nurturing. Coming from another state and my family vet who is my uncle she went above and beyond. Once she left another doctor took over for our pup he was very knowledgeable and helped us find the solution to our bulldogs allergies with a pill that daily completely took care of his symptoms he also recommended an eye doctor at the vrcc to help with his dry eyes. This is the absolute worst vet with the absolute worst staff. Megan at the front is super unhelpful and clueless on anything that's going on in the office. We have not only experienced one bad experience with them but multiple. Their communication is horrible and no one takes accountability for anything. If you are looking for a vet do not go here. This place should be shut down.
I just called and asked to speak to Dr Howard and an older sounding woman answered the phone and told me there is no Dr Howard here. I began to explain why I was calling and she rudely interrupts me laughing and says trust me, there is no Dr Howard here then hangs up on me. First impression of this clinic, absolutely terrible and id never go here based on this.
I have had dogs all my life. I have been to many vets and seen the ones that are in it for animals and the ones that are just in it for the money. My husband and I have 2 dogs. Our senior dog is about 9 years old. We left for a weekend and while we were gone the person that watched her said she became extremely sick. When we got back she was vomiting and extremely dehydrated. She looked terrible and in shock. We could not get her to eat or drink. My female cat got fixed there. She licked her cut open so we took her back and the literally grabbed her and STAPLED it shut. My cat screamed her lungs out. Never went back and never will. Besides that we got charged for more than we should have. They tell you one price over the phone and surprise you when you pay.
Be aware of Alameda Veterinary Clinic! They charged the services that we had not ordered. Alameda Veterinary Clinic mailed us postcards reminding our two dogs' vaccination were about to expire. We called their office and asked how much the vaccination to be. They told us $25 each. We thought the charge was reasonable and made an appointment for vaccination only.
