My 5yo rescue dachshund has loved coming here in the 8 months since I've gotten her. The clever vets always give her lots of treats whenever she visits so she's eager to come in and even paws at the door whenever we go by, even when it's been quite some time! (She has a photographic memory for treats.) So far all three of the vets we have seen here - and the reception staff - have been caring, thorough, professional, and patient with the many anxious questions of a first-time dog owner. I've been visiting Alexandria Vet Hospital for 1 year now, which was recommended by a friend. I also highly recommend it. Both doctors and nurses are incredible and loving and their priority is the wellbeing of the animals and that they feel relaxed and safe. My pup is very anxious and it takes him a lot of time to trust and relax, however, I was always given the time to let him settle and I was never rushed. Thank you for everything ❣️

Took my angel to be seen, after the extremely helpful assistants had done all they could to advise. Aislinn was thorough, compassionate, caring, and explained everything that needed to be done. But WAIT THERE'S MORE!: AFTER we had left and paid, and the blood tests had come back clear, this vet contacted ME to say they had overcharged on the blood tests and would refund the difference of some $70 as if I would ever know... If i'd had such good care from one GP i saw, I'd be in a lot better health myself. Thank you, AVH!!!

I've visited here 3 times, twice during the peak of COVID when my cat wasn't well and again today to have my ragdoll groomed. I've generally had really good experiences with the vets and vet nurses. They're definitely on the more expensive side but I don't mind that if the care is good. Unfortunately, Amanda was a bit rude today. I stood outside waiting for her to finish a conversation with someone without so much as an acknowledgement. The team at AVH are amazing!!! I’ve made the switch with both my dogs mostly because of the caring nature of the whole team - nurses included! Their advice is always considered and helpful, and we never feel rushed out the door. Being able to book appointments is a bonus which we weren’t able to do at our last vet.
