Got a pole barn from them for my truck today I went out won't go up or down its 1 years old my truck is stuck. in there couldn't go to work get truck.out got a hold of them 1 year warranty is done can't do nothing ,,,,will never recommend this company to any one *****there are people asking us about the company who did both of are pole barns will not recommend them to no one ... ..
We have been waiting and calling to get a permit completed since June *******. We make several calls per month and no one knows whats going on. Now phone numbers have been disconnected. Unable to contact the owner or anyone in upper management. The City said a permit was requested over 80 days ago and then the email sent was never responded to by American Steel. ****** tells he is going to find out what is going on and never calls back. Now his number is disconnected. I cant understand why we are being ignored.
I went into an Authorized Dealer of American Steel Carports and said 'I have a new SUV that I need under cover'. I'm not good with big measurements, so asked the Representative, "Whatever I need to cover the car", and " As long as my car is covered". I didn't know exactly what I needed, I just knew I wanted my new car under cover. I trusted him. He came up with 12' wide, 18' Long, 10' Tall. My salesperson was exemplary. He went above and beyond to help me. I would not recommend this company. The crew that came out was very amateurish at best. The walls were not square, they did not,initially, put an overhang on the building. I paid for two 3ftx10ft skylights and two 3x3 were installed. The crew said to call the company. Later on the same day (7PM) the crew came back, ripped off the front of the building and pushed it back six feet using now damaged sheet metal and leaving a 2gap between the roof and wall. Purchased a 30x40 garage with two 9x10 automating roll up doors costing around 25K dollars. Installation was managed by a sub-contract team from ********** which come to my residence the first week of July to erect the building but did not have all the parts to complete the building. I ordered an inner wall at an additional cost of 2K, the team installed that but did not put up the back wall of the building. Was told my building be built in early June. Didn't hear anything for a couple weeks so after a week of calling finally got a date it be built June 22. Once the builders came they couldn't do anything except drop off the material which sat around for weeks because of missing material. After a week of waiting then a week of calling. (No one could give an answer of when the missing material would be in because it's coming from *****. Which doesn't explain why no one could give at least an estimate to when it would be arriving.... read more
I purchased a carport from American Steel 6 years ago and the metal roofing has faded drastically. None of the fading is the same so my roof is now multi colored as each panel is a different shade. When I contacted the company, which took me many emails and voicemails to get a response, they said the roof did not come with a color warranty and they refused to do anything about it unless I could prove to them I had a warranty. Terrible customer service, poor scheduling system, had a issue with city regarding compliance around steel building that American Steel car ports built. building was taken down and returned to American Steel car ports and still no refund 6 months later.
They did not send all the product to put our RV cover up so they modified it on site (cut off some of the main structural pieces) and used cheap L brackets to hold 2 of the legs/uprights on. It moves in stronger winds and the company has no interest in talking to me much less fixing the problem!! I have gone through multiple ways to get a hold of someone, text, messenger and email and they have done nothing!DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY
