An update to my earlier review. I ultimately went back to the business because my dog required treatment quickly for two teeth. The vet and office staff could not have been better. The staff quickly checked us in, the vet patiently explained the options, and the staff thoroughly walked me through post-op instructions. Notwithstanding my frustration in my original review, I highly recommend this business.

My wife has Alzheimer's, and her favorite cat wasn't drinking, eating, and was hiding. She had terrible gingivitis. Pearl is an 8-year-old, blue eyed beautiful rescue. She was being treated with steroids by another veterinarian. The shots only lasted three month and it was getting expensive. We were referred to the Animal Dental Center in Annapolis Maryland. Wow! Dr Mary Volker and her amazing staff (especially Amy, Grace and Kendall) are truly the A Team! Am here in Maryland from California and urgently needed surgery for one of my dogs due to drug-related hyperplasia. We were so blessed to find Animal Dental Center and doubly blessed to have Dr Volker as our Oral Surgeon. Dr. Kim was AMAZING with my elderly chihuahua. He needed ALL of his remaining teeth removed (~ 14 teeth). He has heart problems and had a scary reaction to anesthesia during a different procedure, so I was VERY nervous. Dr. Kim was reassuring, confident, and incredibly patient with both my nerves and my dog's nerves. We love Dr. Luskin -- our sweet girl had to get a root canal after damaging a canine tooth last year and he took the time to explain the procedure and answer a multitude of questions as a nervous dog mom. Unfortunately, she had a traumatic experience at daycare this week and managed to damage several additional teeth -- requiring a tooth extraction and two more root canals (the original root canal was miraculously undamaged). I have taken 5 of my dogs to Dr. Luskin for serious problems including oral cancer. Other veterinarians are okay to do routine dental cleanings, but are not skilled enough to handle complicated cases. His skill saves lives. He gives special attention to elderly dogs who have special dangers associated with receiving anesthesia. He is prepared for unexpected complications during surgery. Extremely happy with the service we received today ! I called early and spoke with Kendall who was very pleasant and worked with me to get my dog in for an emergency appointment. We were able to get him in and get the procedure he needed right away. Dr. Volker and Dr. Kim were wonderful! Thank you for everything

I have seen just about every doctor in the office. The staff is great, they even gave me lessons on getting medicine in my cats mouth. When I asked Dr. Kim how she could open my cats mouth so easy, she said that is why I pay her, she is trained to open mouths. We both laughed. I still trying to figure that out but Dr. Luskin said my cat can't bite me, he has no teeth. I would definitely recommend.

The day we had an icy morning I opened my back door to let my baby out to go potty. When he slid and flew down my steps my heart dropped. He got up but was yelping and pawing at his jaw. I rushed him in to the closest ER who referred me to the Dr. Luskin at the Animal Dental Center. I called praying I could get him in, the vet had said his jaw was fractured. miracle it was they were able to get him in that same day to have Rex's jaw fracture attended to by competent caring professionals.
