poor service, apparently understaffed, only one vet, outrageous prices and when voicing concerns about it, "oh that's corporate" from 3 different employees. seems to be nothing but a scam, have 3 locations, one in Temple, one in Killeen, and one in Waco and these are the only places available for pet emergencies in central Texas area. certainly has a monopoly on things.

I brought my dog in with a large collection of blood in his ear from a dogfight. I was told he needed to go into surgery and have a drain placed for $1600. I am low income and told them I only had $300. They said for $365 (I had to partially pay a utility bill), they would take the blood out with a needle without any pain filler. After taking all my money, I left with a protective collar and pain meds and antibiotics. The next day, it started to come back and today it was just like before. When I called back, they said... read more

My wife spoke to Lucy on the phone late Friday night/early Saturday morning. Our 12 year old lab was having seizures in the middle of the night. Lucy was not kind or compassionate, but she did tell us what we needed to know: our visit at that hour would cost $145 minimum, it would go up to $200 after midnight, and they would not treat the dog anyway, so we were better of waiting for our regular vet to open on Monday. “Sounds like vestibular disease.” That’s what she told my distraught wife in a tone best described as “Why a... read more

So I’m just letting this be known. Thursday night I came here with my Abby girl she couldn’t breath, hacking cough, salivating, and very lethargic. Came in and saw Dr Travis, he was very nice as were the two vet techs there, got there at 6:30pm he did a brief exam of her, asked him to check her mouth because she acted like she couldn’t swallow and he barely opened her mouth said ok we need blood work, X-rays, etc. I said ok, I would do anything for her to be better. Left there around 9pm because they said everything was norma... read more

I recently took my dog there with a laceration under her front leg about 4in. long. They wanted $85 to see her. They wanted $1295 to stitch her up and run a bunch of unnecessary labs. Then came up with $895 to stitch her up but no labs. Told them I couldn't afford that! Then they said for $295 dollars they could give her some pain meds, a antibiotic shot and I could go see my veterinarian the next morning. I said I couldn't do it. Then they said could I do $85 plus $35 for a pain shot. I said no. So I ended up paying $85 for... read more

This place lacks true compassion and professionalism. We were sent from Belton small animal clinic on 7/28/2017 to this clinic since they were closing and our fur baby needed further care. Dr. Brown had called ahead to give them a report and let them know to expect our arrival. When we arrived the door was unlocked but there wasn’t a single person at the front desk or in the exam room. I stood there with my poor fur baby in my arms asking if somebody was there. Finally after several minutes someone came to the front des... read more
