I want to start out by saying I understand that animal care isn't cheap and I never expected to get out of there without paying a hefty bill last night for my pug. Somehow, my pug ended up with her eye out of her eye socket last night. We know this a common issue for pugs. She has already had one eye removed due to an ulcer and now she has lost her second eye. My issue is that we went to them for immediate medical care because her poor eye was hanging out and they took her back, gave her a pain injection and then came out to... read more

After bringing in my pet because they were the only place open on Sunday- Dr. Twining decided he might could treat and save him because he had pneumonia, placing us in the waiting room for 2 hours behind animals with normal vital signs while mine had agonal breathing--- and yes I complained to the staff while everyone there watched him suffering!! and said I brought him here so if need be he would not have to suffer and I"m sitting here while he is suffering and dying under your triage poster stating priority of how patients... read more

To be clear, I DO recommend this clinic for pet emergencies. On March 20, 2025, I greatly appreciated Dr. Kingstad before, during, and after the euthanasia of my Chihuahua. Likewise, I thank Cici for her front desk demeanor--compassionate, caring, and professional. Also, on May 4, 2025, sitting for several hours in the waiting room while holding my other Chihuahua, I observed various interactions from a different veterinarian toward several pet parents, and he earned my respect, too! However, an incident happened there th... read more

Just a horrible place to be. The environment with the front staff is just horrible. She falls asleep at the desk while patients are in the waiting area, and has no sympathy. The vet tech was great and nice but the front desk little girl needs to be gone before this place will ever compare to any other emergency vet clinic .

The worst service I’ve ever received in my life ! The doctor is so old and senile she keeps asking me the same questions over and over again… keeps looking at the wrong side of my dog and the wrong leg and keeps writing the wrong info down ! Brought my dog in for lumps that keep popping up on him and after a TWO HOUR wait and $130 bill all the doctor tells me is “you need to get this checked out” well DUH ! That’s WHY IM HERE !! I paid $130 just for her to send me somewhere else and not do ANYTHING!

poor service, apparently understaffed, only one vet, outrageous prices and when voicing concerns about it, "oh that's corporate" from 3 different employees. seems to be nothing but a scam, have 3 locations, one in Temple, one in Killeen, and one in Waco and these are the only places available for pet emergencies in central Texas area. certainly has a monopoly on things.

Business response:

I brought my dog in with a large collection of blood in his ear from a dogfight. I was told he needed to go into surgery and have a drain placed for $1600. I am low income and told them I only had $300. They said for $365 (I had to partially pay a utility bill), they would take the blood out with a needle without any pain filler. After taking all my money, I left with a protective collar and pain meds and antibiotics. The next day, it started to come back and today it was just like before. When I called back, they said... read more
