We recently adopted three kittens from a shelter. These little kittens, as sometimes happens, came with an upper respiratory virus and eye infections that they kept passing around to each other. Being newer to the area we did not have a relationship established with a local vet so we came to Appalachian Veterinary Hospital on the recommendation of my sister. Ol' Buddy has transitioned to the "happy hunting grounds". Suffering kidney problems, blindness, and deafness his quality of life was poor. Thank you to Appalachian Veterinary Hospital for their compassion and care. You guys made a tough time bearable.

I have taken my animals here for years. We had to put our first family dog down recently Dr Lamaster and the whole team were so good to us and sweet to our Abby as they helped her cross the rainbow bridge. We will never forget their kindness

The staff was friendly, and worked well with my puppy. Dr. Sorohan was amazing with Zeus. She came in the room, sat on the floor, and began making Zeus feel comfortable with her. He and I both felt her calmness, that is what we needed, because we were both very anxious about our first visit to the vet. She took time to explain things to me, and gave me advice on some behavioral issues he is having. After leaving, I took her advice and noticed big changes already.
