My mother has been at Arbour Square since May 2017. She was understandably hesitant, but has transitioned so well thanks to the staff and residents at AS. It is one big family! She is so much more social, stimulated, and involved in life than she has been for a few years. She also eating amazingly well and has a wonderful apartment with natural light and all the amenities. My mom and dad just moved into Arbour Square. From the first time we visited Arbour Square the staff has been so helpful, kind and caring. They take time to know the residents by their names and what they need and prefer. The family has visited mom and dad. The dining staff made all of us feel very welcome. Nothing is to much trouble. I ended up picking this facility for my Grandmother because the location is convenient for me. She is usually a timid person but she’s met a lot of new people here and she is starting to have some new adventures. For activities they have things like mass services, movie night, and they even have an in-house physical therapist. The food here is good and I’ve even had a chance to try it on many occasions. I would absolutely recommend this facility to other families.
If anyone is looking for an independent living, retirement community; do not look past Arbour square of Harleysville. My Mom lived there for 31 months until she decided she needed a little hire level of care. Reluctantly moving there after 53 years of home ownership she quickly adjusted. Beautiful facility! Everyone was very nice. I was impressed how much of an effort was made to make everyone feel welcome.
I am so happy that my mom resides at Arbour Square. It is a beautiful place - well kept and immaculately clean. The staff is very pleasant and I like the way they interact with the residents. I've never had a meal that wasn't delicious and I like the variety and the quality of the food they serve. The planned activities are great and very entertaining. Everything they do at Arbour Square is done with class.
I cannot fully express how wonderful Arbour Square has been to my Mother, and our family. My Mother moved to Arbour Square after our Father passed away. As a family our biggest concern was that she remain active and involved. Very quickly we realized that she made the right decision. The many activities, the dining, the convenience of having a hairdresser, banking, Podiatrist, Physical Therapy, and blood lab on site has been wonderful. My client has resided with Arbour Square for a year. I'm a constantly impressed with the quality of staff, how cheerful they are any how willing they are too assist the residents and their family members. This morning I boarded the elevator near the cafe, a member of the cleaning staff was wiping the inside of the elevator. The facility has been extremely welcoming since our parent moved here several years ago. We are extremely happy with the facility including the meal service and the attention to detail by the staff. There is "always something to do" if you care to join an activity. There are planned visits to local restaurants and transportation can be arranged at no cost through a free public service bus by calling in advance. Highly recommend this option for anyone especially as there is no high "initial fee" to live in the community.
