Several years ago while eating alone in the cafe I suffered an attack of global transient amnesia. Our chef immediately came to the table and calmed me down, escorted me to my room and make me comfortable and assured me all would be well. Staff came to my room and comforted me and stood until the attack passed. After leaving for a short time I moved back after realizing that the everyday chores were too much and Arbour Square was my home. I was not present at this time my things were moved back into my apartment, I was in th... read more

My mother stayed for 2 weeks for respite care after a serious injury. The staff was very nice, attentive, accommodating, and communicated well. Special shout out to the chef who made delicious soups for my mother every day (she had her jaw wired shut). The facility was clean and nice, and they had daily activities for the residents. Plus pets are allowed to visit, which was a huge spirit lifter for my mother as well as the other residents, I'm sure.

Mom is REALLY enjoying her "golden" years living at Arbour Square. My mother feels happy and secure, knowing that she needn't worry about taking care of a big house and property and the associated financial burdens. Mom has an amble kitchen at Arbour Square, if she gets the urge, but takes most meals in the dining room. Mom lost Dad after 63 years of marriage, and I feel that the sense of community at Arbour Square has been invaluable to her mental health and overall happiness. And both Mom and myself take comfort knowing th... read more

From the first moment that I walked into Arbour Square five years ago, I knew that I had found the perfect home for my parents, who were relocating to this area from Florida. After visiting several retirement communities in the area, I was so impressed with the cleanliness, the activities available to residents, the dining experience, and the continual support from the Maintenance Department. I have valued the competency and compassion that the entire staff has always shown. [Name removed], the Executive Director, is the fac... read more

My mother was a resident at Arbor Square for 4 years. The campus and facility was always kept pristine and updated. The most important aspect, however, was the care and friendliness of the staff. From the Executive Director to the Maintenance Team, they ALWAYS were warm and friendly. My mother loved the employees and they showed genuine concern for her safety and well-being. I would recommend Arbor Square to anyone looking for an independent living experience.

I have enjoyed living at Arbour Square. I like the food. The only bad experience so far is the fire drills and fire alarms. There has been more fire alarms than fire drills. So far I feel that is part of living in this type of facility. I moved here from Virginia. I still drive. The website for Pennsylvania DOT was not very helpful to someone moving into Pennsylvania.

They are very friendly there and have been very supportive. They were great on move in and the meals are pretty good. The service at meal time is good. Access from a family standpoint is easy and they communicate very well with the family when we need it. The PT there is great!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience my dad and I have had at Arbour Square. The entire team has been involved personally with my dad since the time he moved in, and they go above and beyond what I could have ever expected. [Name removed], the Executive Director, and [name removed], his case manager, have helped my father and me on several occasions with coordinating changes in his care. My dad loves the activities and enjoys interacting with the staff. The maintenance department is great. My dad loves the food... read more
