I first went to Dr. Wu back in 2004 to get fitted for InvisAlign; at the time they were one of the only practices in the area doing InvisAlign. Because it's a major expense I visited a couple other orthodontists but when I met with Dr Wu and her assistant Elizabeth I immediately felt very comfortable. Over the last eight years they have done a terrific job keeping my teeth straight and healthy. Hint. get an early AM appt and park behind the building on eastbound Clarendon, there is always street parking available there.
Dr. Palabrica and her staff are the best! I have lived in many places in my life, and Dr. Palabrica is the best dentist I have every had - period. She and her staff take the time to listen to all of your concerns, spell out the financial responsibility of every action they take (x-rays, cleaning, etc), and even remember your name! I have read all of the reviews here and must advise that folks take the bad ones with a grain of salt. I've been seeing Dr. Finnerty for 30 years(!), even when we moved out of the area. Why? Because of the outstanding and caring service they provide. Over the years I have had bonding, veneers, and recently crowns, all of which I have been very happy with.
After a long absence from the dentist and a poor experience at another DC dental location, I was pretty anxious about this mornings visit. Turns out I had the right to be, as I'm due for some more intense cleaning. The good news is that Dr. Palabrica and her hygienist Elsy were great in explaining what I needed done, what to do about it at home, what my insurance would cover, and came up with a treatment plan that minimizes my out of pocket expenses. Office staff and dental hygienists are extraordinarily professional. I called because of an emergency and the staff was extremely understanding and wanted me to come in the next day. Dr. Wu is good at explaining what she is doing and made sure I did not experience any discomfort. After novocaine was applied, the hygienist came back two times within 5 minutes to see how I was feeling. Another plus is that there was no wait time. Dr. Wu and her Office are great. I never waited for more than a moment or so to be seen, and Dr. Wu's billing department is on top of everything. Dr. Wu is great with emergencies as well as regular check up and cleanings. My only complaint was that after 3 years, Dr. Wu's practice stopped participating with my insurance plan, so I've been forced to locate a new provider. Bottom line: I would still be a patient if they took my insurance, and I will gladly return if they decide to work with my insurance again.
Dr. Palabrica is awesome. She's extremely thorough and ensures that every patient has the best experience possible. She's flexible with appointments and her office easy to access via car or metro. Both her and her staff are extremely friendly and always make my friends and I (I've sent two friends to her) feel at home.
Dr. Palabrica is the bomb! This is one of the most professional and best dentistry practices I've ever been to. I'm even a DC resident and truck all the way to Virginia--the service is that good. Dr. Palabrica recommends only the best options and is mindful of patient costs. I've been with her for over a year now and couldn't give a higher review. The prices are affordable and they have good payment options.
I'm new to the area and don't know anyone to ask for referrals for doctors, dentist s, or pretty much anything. So when I suddenly began having bad pain in my jaw I was stuck with just a roll of the dice.
