Get directionsI would move out but this was the best price available. The windows in my apartment are foggy so I can't see outside. Hallway rug has stains and there's a lot of bugs. Staff is friendly, but front office staff will lie to your face. They make promises regarding repairs and don't follow through. Facility has made it clear that I live in Independent Living and they won't do anything to help us except dial 911. They use too much salt and it's mostly carbs. I'm still working so I haven't had a chance to attend many activities as... read more
Although scheduled, I did not move into the Renaissance because before I could, I was diagnosed with a reoccurrence of breast cancer. Of course this was unexpected. After much thot I decided I would recuperate much better in my home. I sent a message to [name removed], notifying him of my decision & why & asking if any of my initial deposit money could be refunded. He not only said no but that I still owed [fee removed] for the 90 day notice I was supposed to give before vacating. I've already been charged [fee removed] & [n... read more

The food that they prepare for the residents is horrible, but what I like the most about the community is the friendly residents. At the moment I do not know if I would recommend the Holiday Renaissance-Austin community to other families - probably not until the situation with the food changes.
One thing they said was that the new Holiday Corporate team is less responsive to calls requesting help for issues in the apartments, and seem more money driven than customer service. They have cut back the amount of money spent on food for meals in the dining room. They both said that since they don't have anything other place to compare it to, they feel like it could be better but they have heard of worse.
They were short handed in housekeeping and my loved one, was not receiving regular service. Regarding activities, there was nothing appealing for active residents. The grounds are private, quiet and beautiful. I picked this community because, primarily location, second was the "right apartment" size/availability/location in the complex.
I would suggest you investigate to make sure you know the turnover rate, and if they will meet your loved one's needs. It would be better if the community would make sure they keep the resident's rooms clean, as well as the entire community, and return phone calls to the families.

Hello, We're sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our community. Is there anything specific that you were not pleased with or anything that you think we should work on? Our goal is to have happy residents and family members so your feedback is very important. Please let us know which areas we can improve on. Thank you
We didn't care for the community. The assisted living had a smell and it smelled like a nursing home. The team member didn't keep in touch with us, and they didn't have availability for us either.
Great place, but response to small but needed maintenance to apartment extremely slow. Multiple requests often required. Executive director responsive, but should be last resort to get simple requests done.
27 years old and the construction in room looks like it. One hall smelled and flies in DR. Pat nice, grounds nice in the middle . Do not think this will be one of the choices, but it is a good location - too old Pass MIGHT be available by August
