Great people...put me at ease. Dr. Barakat made me a believer that going to the dentist does not have to be something to fear

I just saw a commercial for Aspen Dental and thought it would be good to post my review. I went to them back in 2010 and they did xrays and told me they were really no teeth left to save & I needed full dentures. I started crying (I was 39 at the time) I went home and decided to get a 2nd opinion. I went to a periodontist about 1/2 mile from the Aspen Dental office and I told him they said I need full dentures. He said that was ridiculous and started with a series of deep cleanings. Well here it is 2019 and since that t... read more

I am 6 months pregnant and have a mouth infection with possible abcess formation/tooth that has been confirmed needs to be pulled. I called Aspen dental at 9am to set up an appointment. my appointment was set for 1045 in the Bedford office. While conforming the appointment I informed the secretary that I was 6 months pregnant therefore I was unsure of what procedures / tests could or could not be performed. I was ensured that once at the office I would be taken care of. I arrived at 1030am to complete the appropraite paperwo... read more

I had some work done which went ok. My problem was with their billing practice. I had a tooth pulled and they billed my insurance (which covers extractions at 100%) with the wrong tooth number. Since that tooth had already been extracted, my insurance rejected the claim. I called them and told them the mistake they made and said that they needed to put in a new claim with the correct number and insurance would cover it. Many phone calls and letter later and I am STILL having issues with them. Now it has been reported to a co... read more

I never have a problem with the girls behind the desk or the hygienist I see. However, my last visit I mentioned some sensitivity on a tooth when I drink cold beverages and when the doctor came in all she did was take a solid metal pole and tap tremendously hard on the tooth and asked “did that hurt?” And fortunately it didn’t because otherwise I probably would’ve jumped out of my chair.

Called 04/06 for an oral surgery apt, was given an email to send X-ray to and they needed a referral. I called my dentist and they said they would send one over that day. Didn't hear anything and called back 04/16, resent X-ray, insurance card and my dentist resent a referral. Received a call back and told I would be called shortly to schedule and get a quote for costs. To this day no phone call. That's fine, I mean I only needed emergency work done. I ended up calling another surgeon and got my work done 04/20, so save your... read more

The dentist herself was great however the dental asst. was very noncompassionate. She tried stuffing things into my mouth that was absolutely painful! She shouldn't be in that business. I ended up getting lock jaw.

I had to have a deep cleaning. 10 years since I have been to the dentist and I have a phobia. The hygienist was absolutely wonderful, soothed my anxiety, did a great job. What I am quite upset about is the fact that they cancelled one of my appointments and rescheduled another. Both with only about 6-8 hours notice. I took the day off of work to have two cavities filled and the night before the appt they called to reschedule because they "thought they would have two doctors, but they only have one". I had already paid for al... read more
