I went as a first time customer over the weekend because after talking with receptionist I was in their network. I scheduled a check-up over the weekend and although Aspen took the time to take x-rays, and had both the dentist and hygienist review my x-rays. The person assigned to prepare my estimate said due to not having a way to talk with my ins, he won't be able to prepare an estimate for the work they wanted to do. This practice will do everything within their power to pick treatments that are not covered by your insurance. Do not make the same mistake I did - do not go to this practice. I rescind the vague compliments I gave them in my initial review - nothing has been worth the nightmare of dealing with Aspen Dental.

Very aggressive sales tactics. Make sure you ask for an itemized receipt before agreeing to pay - they like to hide products and procedures that you didn't say yes to (with the caveat that you also didn't say no to them). I was desperate because I was struggling to find a dentist covered by my insurance, and I deeply regret going to them. I now go to a different dentist, due to the cost here, and also to fix mistakes they made during a routine filling. Aggressive sales tactics. Friendly office environment but don't be fooled. I did all the exams suggested but I noticed others in the visiting room beside medical staff. After the run down of what was needed this gentleman took me in a office and I felt like I was buying a new car. Total bill was over 4k. I asked for a break down of the charges and stated what I was ready to pay for at the moment. I posted a review: I thought I liked this location because the dental hygienist is amazing. However my interactions with The Lead Male Dentist were less than subpar. He put some crowns in my mouth and less than 2 years later one of my crowns fell out. He had a hard time looking me in the eye to tell me it wasn't covered and that I had to pay for a new one.. after the front desk told me I wouldn't have to pay for it. I have been wondering 7 months since I visited my first and last time if I can still sue the dentist for malpractice. The photos I can post is the emergency room notes of a broken haw and severed nerve which has still left half my face paralyzed and still unable to work. Okay I had an infection in my tooth. I highly recommend this practice. All of the staff...from front desk to dentist...were kind, compassionate and patient. Dr. Mena Shenouda is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to see. He always let me know what was about to happen, talked me through it, gave me multiple breaks, encouraged me and didn't make me feel embarrassed or ashamed of my panic attacks/fear of the dentist.
