Aspen would have been a 5 star if they didn't charge me over $1,000 more than I was quoted. The people there were all nice and respectful and the doc gave me some good info for now and future. I was quoted $800-$3,000 but was charged just over $4,000!. Sadly I ended up cancelling my future appointments because of it.
I called to make an appointment, stated to the woman I was pregnant she said I would be required to get an approval from my obgyn which I did. I also talked to her about my insurance and she said it was accepted. the day came for my appointment I had a family member watch my 8 month old and traveled 45 minutes for my appointment. So far, in the space of two weeks, I've been told that: Prior to the exam they take MassHealth, only to find out that no, they don't, once I showed up. Going to schedule my extraction over the phone that I couldn't schedule it that day, because they needed a down payment over the phone. Several days later, with card in hand, go to call them again and get told that they can't take a deposit over the phone, that I can pay for it when I show up, and they have no idea why they didn't schedule me when I called previously. I went to Aspen Dental for 2 years and they made nothing easy or clear. Continually giving extra bills after being told things were covered. A rotating group of dentists so I never knew who was going to be treating me. In two years, I have been seen by 4 different dentists and only 2 of them would I consider seeing again. The only saving grace are the hygensits and office staff who are lovely. I had a filling done by them that had to be redone because it was done poorly. . Friendly staff but told by ER to do a follow up with a dentist and spent a hr 1/2 doing x-rays and poking teeth and tried to get me to buy other crap and didn't even talk about the reason I was there.... company is all about money and not the people...I'll go somewhere else next time....
Told me I needed a deep cleaning. I paid $200 something dollars for that visit and noticed an electronic toothbrush for $100 was in there!! Definitely not needed. Also paid up front for services, and found a place that was cheaper. Was told several times I would be getting $224 refunded. Went in for a follow up for the deep cleaning and asked several times if it was included in the price I paid and I was told yes. Pre-paid cash for cleaning and whitening treatment. Efficient staff. However, 3 days after whitening, after vigorously following their written and verbal instructions,with use of toothpaste, toothbrush and MI paste they provided, the whitening of the upper teeth has become mottled in white color and one front tooth appears stained. Waiting to be seen for explanation and correction!!
I went to Aspen Dental because I needed my front two bottom teeth pulled and a partial and they were supposed to do a cleaning X-rays and exam they did X-rays and an exam never did the cleaning and further said they wouldn’t because in total after all the periodontal cleanings I would need the temporary partial and permanent partial they wanted almost $2700 up front. everything is fine in the first appointment with the dentist's staff but at the time of the surgery they say it will be more expensive and they keep sending more bill with More surprises stay away from them I will don’t recommend
