I literally just walked out of an appointment with Doctor Brown because he was so offended I don't do x-rays before examination or even a greeting. He came into the room offended and made it clear of everything he could not do without those x-rays. Said basically he can look at my teeth and that was it. I was so taken back I asked what they did before these mandatory x-rays and he said they would break their patients jaws to get a good look. While Dr. Brown and the other clinical staff were all very nice, my experience with the billing end of things has been terrible. There was something about my fillings that was coded wrong when it was submitted to my insurance company, and the insurance ended up paying $160 less than what I was told they would pay. When I requested that they resubmit it to get the insurance company to correct the coding on my fillings, the person on the phone told me "We don't do that" and then went on to tell me that I would have to pay the ... read more

First off, I have to say that Dr Brown and the entire staff couldn't be nicer. But beyond that, the jury is still out. I went to Aspen for 3 gum cosmetic fillings, they gave me a ton of xrays and said I needed 2 or 3 more for cavities. They created a "treatment plan" and when I asked questions about specific costs, I could not get a direct answer. However, they kept lowering the price (3 different prices) until I agreed and paid them but I never could get a specific breakdown on individual procedure costs. I know that what... read more
