Staff was nice, but it is all a cash grab. I have never in my life been charged extra for a preventative visit at a dentist's office. I was not told about extra charges up front. I just received a bill for $73. I made a huge mistake in going here...don't do it unless you like to waste money.

I went to Aspen Dental on Friday at 12:30pm and they closed early, so I called to get a Saturday appointment. They sent me to another city as that was the only available spot. That office had an ad about a free test drive of an Oral B Pro toothbrush. I made a follow-up appointment at the Gandy office near me to get prepped for a crown. I asked about the free trial toothbrush and they said they did have any and they would get on latter that week. I went back a week later to pick up what I thought was the free trial brush. Positive experience overall. I called for a cleaning and annual check up. The cleaning portion was not performed. Being accustomed to medical care in Europe, I found it confusing that I was seen, x-rayed and examined, but no cleaning. Cleaning has to be another appointment. Not sure why, but not the best use of our time.

I went to Aspen Dentist on Gandy Blvd on Friday 9/22 to have a simple molar extraction. Let me begin with at first they gave me a "treatment plan" that totaled to over $7,000, and everything on it just so happened to be everything my insurance didn't cover. Now to the tooth extraction, I don't know if this dentist was new, or just didn't have a clue what the hell she was doing, to start with, she injected the local around the sides of the tooth and not in the nerve located in the back of the jaw which creates the nerve block... read more
