I received several estimates and decided to go with Asphalt Engineering. I needed a complete rip up and replacement of a good size driveway. They sent me a proposal complete with a sketch of the area to be done broken down by sections. I had to make some changes and it was a very simple process. This was the easiest company to work with. First someone actually answers the phone when you call. Second - an estimator was there the next day and quote arrived in a couple of days that was detailed. Was followed up with a phone call to be sure that we understood everything. No pressure. Once we decided to use them, the work was scheduled for the tear up and replacement. They called the day before each day of work to indicate time they would be there. Communications are very good. AE did a fine job, from the first visit to assess the job, to the quoting process, the work itself, and communication with the front office. The work was done on schedule, the site was left clean during and after the work, and we are pleased with the quality of the new drive. Removed old driveway, laid down new subsurface/foundation, and paved new driveway.

Everything went very well. I was very pleased with their pricing (another quote I got was for a few dollars shy of $8,000). It was also very close to a quote I had gotten from a well known (but low quality) driveway company. The process went smoothly from start to finish. I mailed a check for a 50% deposit, and they scheduled 2 dates for the paving. It went great. He was very easy going. No fuss. No muss. Peter answered the phone, we talked about what I needed disposed of (sleeper couch sitting in my front yard) and he said he'd be there first thing the next day and he was. Funny guy. Hard worker. Knows his stuff.

Excellent! The customer service is great. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and coordinated everything with the town office. It was a 3-house project and I can't say anything negative about the process. New driveway.

They did an incredible job! The area that they paved was low lying where water would collect and would often be muddy and not passable. They removed material from the location including some large rocks and tree roots. They replaced with proper materials for drainage and a solid base for the paving. They area also included a slope which they set the proper grade for. They the paving itself was incredible quality. They cut the opening by the street, did removal and installed the gravel in 2 hours. Then 2 days later came back and applied the sub base and final coat.They did a great job. Removed existing driveway and additional material to make a double wide driveway. installed up to 12" of gravel and then apply a sub base and a final coat. They also pulled the necessary permits needed to expand the driveway and cut the opening where the driveway met the street.
