Did a scleral buckle surgery for a detached retina. Somehow I developed a sinus condition that persisted over a year.... only on the right side which was the affected eye. He was totally disinterested and offered no suggestions. His comment was "I didn't go near your sinuses." At about 15 months post surgery a white piece of shredded silicone came from the back of my throat. I believe it was part of the buckle that blocked the sinus passage. This could have been caused by substandard surgery.
Dr. Jain was very nice but misdiagnosed my eye disease and administered an expensive but useless injection. Went to another doctor. If you eye disease is not easily diagnosed, go to a different doctor.
