I stopped in at my local Austin Telco Federal Credit Union branch on Brodie Lane recently. During my wonderful visit, it occurred to me that I had never written a review of this branch. I’ve used this branch for 17 years and have been an ATFCU customer for over 30 years. I read some of the previous reviews, and had to nod my head. I’ve been banking here for over 9 years, and it truly feels like small-town banking in the best way possible. The team knows me by name, and every time I walk in or call, I’m greeted with kindness, professionalism, and care. It’s rare these days to find a place where customer service feels personal and consistent, but that’s exactly what I experience here. At 66 years old, I have had several bank accounts at several different banks. I was with Ufcu for 20 years and had a list of grievances such as the unauthorized taking of money out of my account not adding deposits correctly and just generally poor banking. RBFCU was no better.the Brodie branch of Austin Telco Federal credit Union is full of friendly people and they have been very helpful. The policy of holding my deposits for 10 days I don’t like. The worst bank to go and open an account at I've been having account here. I haven't had any problems until today. And it was with a teller, I usually never see i guess cause she was about to get off. They didn't want to cash my check and I have an account there
After 20+ years in business, Austin Telco is unlike any other. Last year I paid off a carloan and made a mistake on the check. They called me about it! I wasn't even a member! What a great service, it shows me I can trust them with my money. I fired my National bank and switched over and have not looked back.
