i’ve only ever banked with austin telco, and love it. unfortunately this location disappointed me greatly. staff told me i couldn’t get a new card because i had also lost my ID and the “photo on my phone didn’t count”, even though i knew my bank account number. staff said it was because they “couldnt identify me” because i was wearing a mask. i went to a different location and encountered no issues whatsoever and was able to get my card, while wearing my mask. i strongly believe i was discriminated against by the staff m... read more
This review is solely for Brian. I have been an ATFCU commercial client since 2017. Recent changes within the bank interrupted my business on a catastrophic level - like no longer able to pay my employees despite a well funded account. I always have a lovely experience when I come to this, and every, Austin Telco branch. I’ve been banking with them for almost 20 years and trust them completely.
I called Austin Telco to request an in person appointment to set up business and personal bank accounts. I was told by the person who answered at my local branch that due to COVID I needed to set up my personal accounts online and would need to go through the drive through with my business information to set up my business account. I am often greeted by name by the wonderful people who staff this branch. They are pleasant, and always seem to be enjoying their jobs. They're helpful and trusting. It almost feels family-run. I actually love going there! 👍
