This is my second sign up with Avance Care. My previous healthcare provider Blue Cross Blue Shield was removed from my IBM insurance plan, in 2022 and they moved me to United Health Care. I then had to find another Dr. Easier said than done! Imagine my surprise to see that United Health Care had added Avance Care to my providers list in 2025, so I immediately registered again with Avance. My husband and I are older patients, and the staff took care to make sure we understood the registration process. Our visits with the intake nurses prior to seeing Dr. Ike were friendly and thorough. Dr Ike (which he happily goes by because some find his last name, Nwanonyiri, a bit difficult to pronounce) takes his time to answer all concerns, and makes recommendations anyone can implement to improve one’s health as well as recommending a any particular specialist he deems necessary. My son is a student at NCSU. He had 2 separate appts , for 2 different issues. Staff was amazing and accomendating. Being 2 hours from campus they agreed to see him for both issues at 1 appt.
