This restaurant is beautiful and the food was amazing. Great place for a quiet, surprise birthday dinner. He didn't want all the bells and whistles, and the servers did an excellent job of letting us know it was a special occasion, but with tact.
We came in to see the newly renovated restaurant. It was fantastic. The food and service was impeccable. Can’t wait to come back again.
It was out 25th wedding anniversary and is was a very nice evening. The staff was quite attentive, personable and very informative about the menu. The new interior improvements we quite pleasant and bright. That was a nice change.

I was excited to see Bacchus after their recent remodel. Upon walking in, I could still smell the fresh paint, and the decore was updated. New floor, artwork, wall colors, and a more modern vibe, which is what stood out the most. Unfortunately, past the receptionists desk, I was not terribly impressed-- especially compared to the old restaurant. My biggest issue was the lighting. The remodel has taken away the soul of Bacchus. It is no longer intimate, warm or cozy. Now it is bright, airy, and cold. We were not seated by our reservation time, a huge pet peeve. Service in the bar was slow due to the large number of guests both dining in the bar and waiting for tables there, so we spent most of our wait drinkless. We almost left. Bacchus has long been a favorite restaurant of mine in Milwaukee. The food quality and service are always outstanding. The new decor is lively and fun. The menu is diverse enough to maintain interest and the wine selection (and sommelier) are fun and impressive.
Great evening overall. Restaurant was recommended by hotel concierge , but he was not able to get us a table. I used Open Table and immediately got a table. Thanks !
