Decor, ambiance and service were good, but let down by the food. Roast was extremely fatty, huge volume of fat probably equivalent of the meat. Pie was pretty small and bland, chips were lukewarm. The place is lovely inside and service was good.

We came for lunch, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Oh, and the cocktails were great! Lovely atmosphere too. Definitely be mindful of the easy, laidback vibe, so you don’t expect a super quick meal. We misunderstood the whole “starters vs mains” approach and had to wait for one of our attendees to finish their soup before the rest of us got their meals. :) But again, this is totally worth a visit!!!

Such a lovely place with the theme of Wind in the Willows running through it. Staff were very friendly and the food was very good. Had the beef cheeks and they were absolutely delicious. Also very dog friendly. Would definitely return.

Early table at 5.30pm so quite quiet on arrival but got busier. Had table for 2 hours which was sufficient for two courses. Food was very good, our party all had pies which were perfect size and delicious. Service was very good. Once we had to vacate the table we were offered seats in the courtyard area for more drinks. Will definitely be back.

Shame it didn't live up to the previous reviews ... I came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon at 3:45pm. It was very quiet, with no real ambiance. Gorgeous venue and amazing entrance, but it had a very strange smell - fish with a cheap vanilla air freshner over the top. Menu is quite limited if you don't eat meat, which was a shame. I ended up with the mackeral starter as a main and a side of fries. It was nice, but basic. Lovely restaurant with excellent food and drink menu. The Wind in the Willows theme is a treat for any fans of the source material. A very chilled atmosphere with delicious food and drinks will definitely return.

Great service and yummy food. I had the Chicken Pie with smashed and a burger. Trust me. You need this in your life. We tried a few crafted cocktails and wine all delicious
