Bateman House has been excellent in looking after my partners father. Initially on respite care for 6 weeks my partner has decided to make this permanent. What we both like about Bateman House are the lovely staff, beautiful rooms, indoor, outdoor spaces and the very good extra activities to keep residents occupied and interested. The home is effectively and professionally run. Staff are approachable, kind and nothing is too much trouble for them. We feel that our relative is in safe hands here.

Found Bateman House when trying to find somewhere for my Dad to have Respite care. Right from initial visit to the home, then assessment of Dad, every member of staff have been so pleasant. Lovely atmosphere in the home and lots of activities to get the residents involved. Dad had not been out of his own home for a long time. It was lovely seeing pictures of him out with the activities team. Dad had medical issues while there and the information sent to me was excellent. What 'Good Looks Like'. I would like to share my experiences and with my dealings with 'Bateman House' located in Uttoxeter. They have excelled in every aspect , from outstanding care and support , overall hygiene, the accommodation , delicious menu choices , entertainment and the security and safety of all the residents is 2nd to none. A largely positive experience, exceeding expectations. With an uncle who's very particular, the staff have helped him relax & settle into an enjoyable stay. We started initially with respite care and now full time resident.

We knew the day would come when Mum would need 24 hour care and that the only option would be a residential home ,never rested easy with us but when visiting Bateman House we knew she would be in the very best place . In the short time she has been there ,she has been attended to so well with the staff ,listened too by the chef on her eating needs ,and the food is excellent and now despite being immobile is regularly out and about mixing with fellow residents and enjoying the hair salon in house and wonderful space in the lo... read more

This is the most wonderful Care Home we could have wished for. Our 99 year old Mum has been so happy in Bateman House which is a 5 Star Care Home with absolutely brilliant, friendly caring staff who have forged a tremendous rapport with Mum and every day Mum says she thinks the world of each and every member of staff. The Care Home offers everything a resident could wish for with ultra modern facilities and amenities and high levels of comfort in a relaxed atmosphere. My mum came to live in the care home 6 weeks ago following a fall. A few days prior I visited the home for advice, every member of staff were helpful, friendly and went above and beyond to help and guide me in to what was unfamiliar territory. It has been a struggle for my mum settling in to a different routine, as well as battling her fear of falling again. I came with my wife Ann who has Parkinsons on respite care for 4 weeks and we stayed in a double room. We have had a joyful experience made so by the staff and the ambience of the home which is beautiful and spacious. All our needs were met by friendly caring staff, nothing was too much trouble. It is a very difficult decision to leave your home and move into a care home not only for the person themselves but also those around them. However, at 93 and with mum losing her eyesight we all knew she could not remain at home alone. Various options were considered including home care or residential care.
