A great overnight stop Pros: The casino was bright and cheery. There was a help yourself coffee and soda bar. The Dining Room had delicious and huge portions. Cons: Everything was clean and spotless, except the back stairs to the indoor pool. The carpet needed a good cleaning. Location: The Loleta Cheese Factory is a couple miles away.......lots of cheeses to taste and buy. The cheese curds are delicious. This was a stopping point on our way home from the Oregon Coast. It was bright, cheery, comfortable, and had an indoor po... read more
Overnight stop on Redwood Highway road trip. Quality at an affordable price. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Restaurant breakfast was worth the price. Deserves its 4 ☆☆☆☆ rating
great wait staff, super friendly and helpful Pros: Clean and quiet Cons: nothing I can think of. Location: Friends and beach We only stayed one night, but will be coming back to enjoy all that is offered.
Four star accomodations Pros: Everything. Cons: Include a breakfast. Location: Easy drive to Avenue of the Giants. Fontana is fun town with lots of summer activities, I.e. Chili cook off, and a farmer's market. We were looking for a hotel between Avenue of the Giants and Eureka for a four day get away. Bear River casino Hotel proved to be an excellent choice. The room was spacious, quiet, and very clean. Having access to unlimited soft drinks and coffee in the casino was very nice. The indoor pool and hot tub was great after... read more
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restraunt was slow on greeting customers, but once you got in the food was good.
Nice, newer, hotel/casino Had a problem at checkin...maybe it was her first day? Other than that...excellent!
Hidden Treasure Lovely hotel & casino . Brand new. Friendly helpful staff. Room was comfy & quiet. Will stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
New hotel and casino with extensive view Very new and clean. Hotel non-smoking. It was all just the right size with onsite restaurant that served excellent food. The casino provided some evening entertainment. Underground parking so no long walks to anything. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you enjoy some casino fun as well.
It's ok. Pros: Fewer drug addicts and shady characters than the ones in Arcata and Eureka due to the distance from town. It's fairly cheap in the winter. The weather Cons: Leadership to train the wait staff in the restaurant. A service contract to keep up the rooms linen and bathrooms. Location: The middle of nowhere. Some nice small towns nearby. Eureka has some nice restaurants, breweries, zoo, and waterfront access. We have stayed at this hotel before, and on other occasions were told warned about the windmill on the moun... read more
