I rarely write reviews, but wanted to share my experience with Dr. Van. I originally found her through other nursing moms as she is a certified lactation consultant and is known in the nursing groups to be helpful with nursing difficulties. Many other moms raved about her, so she was one of the four pediatricians I went to. I immediately liked her. Our pediatrician recently retired and she recommended we go to Dr. Van at Bee Well for future pediatric needs. Wow, I am simply stunned at the wonderfulness that is Dr. Van. My kids are smitten with her—she has that “I-am-doing-what-I-was-born-to-do-and-I-love-it” quality/ “kid-whisperer” thing that is so rare to find in such a remarkably knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Van saved our son’s life and has treated our family as though we are hers. A few years ago, my wife and I were struggling with life’s difficulties AND a newborn. Our premature son was losing weight and other pediatricians were calling it colic, despite our son being less than 1% in weight. We spent the money, which was in short supply, to see Dr. Van… and within 12 hours our baby had donor milk from the milk bank and a path out of failure to thrive. Wonderful pediatricians ! I’ve had massive anxiety since we just got my newborn out of the NICU. We are so grateful and happy to have him home , and even more comfortable knowing that these drs are keeping up with all of his medical care. They not only have knowledge on medical - they also care about their patients well being - answering a nervous moms questions and providing positive feedback and also realistic guidance. We have been going to Dr. Van for years now. This practice is just lovely. We drive from the other side of town to go there. It is always welcoming and peaceful. Dr Van and the other doctors we have seen there have always been compassionate, informative, and spend time listening to concerns. It feels like they go over and above the expectations of a doctor visit. They are humans who connect with their patients as humans.
