Dr. Robert E. Ayer is an excellent doctor. I had two back surgeries for back pain, the first one was done by another doctor in another town who did damage. The second one was done by Dr. Ayers partner who is in another state. He corrected the wrongs the first doctor did. After about 6 mos. I was still having back pain. The first time I saw Dr. Ayer he diagnosed my back pain as Si joint which is many times diagnosed as back pain. 2 weeks ago Dr. Ayer did SI Fusion and I am PAIN Free.
Answered all my questions about my condition and upcoming surgery. Surgery itself went very well and achieved results I expected.
Dr. Ayer was supposed to be my surgeon at the end of June 2020, during the height of the Corona Virus panic. I found out from my Ins. EOB that a medical ASSISTANT did most of my surgery-HONG SHI. Since when do you pawn off “unimportant” people to assistants?! No visitors allowed, so I had zero patient advocates. I was in the hospital alone for 8 days in excruciating pain. Unprofessional, lack of empathy, lack of care....Took him 3 days to order necessary labs on my fam. Member that should have been ordered stat!!! Very disappointing!!!!
