Obviously, Boca is the new "see and be seen" hot spot in Sarasota. Even on a Wednesday night it was mobbed and extremely noisy, such that it was impossible to carry on a conversation without shouting. The food was interesting and very good, but this is not a restaurant I am rushing back to until it settles down a bit.
Boca Kitchen in Sarasota is relatively new, but I've already been there 3 times with friends so that should tell you something. It is a farm to table restaurant with lots of innovative menu items. Even though I have my favorites, I force myself to try something new each visit and I am never disappointed. This was my first time and place is relatively new. They tout local ingredients, which is nice. Food was good but nothing special. Wines are a bit overpriced for a casual place such as this. I'll try them again for sure. Restaurant has a second floor that is open to the main floor. Maybe a coincidence but everyone on 2nd floor had white hair while only one person on main floor had white hair. Atmospherically controlled seating?
Salads were amazing - so fresh! All meals were excellent. Loved the tuna!
Nice selection of beer, draft and bottled, some craft beers; they were out of two though so it would of been nice if they replace them sooner. Food was very good, price comparative. Restaurant is very loud, I was in the upstairs dining, hard to carry on a conversation and if it is date night or you want something more intimate this is not the place. Sat at the bar for a drink and it was loud there as well.
Really enjoyed the service and the food, which I tried the Chefs Special, yummy! Thought it was very creative in how garden herbs are placed on table and if you want to purchase you could. Very Cool atmosphere and would recommend to others. The server was very pleasant and patient. Great overall Experience! Thank-you!

Our service w Kate was outstanding - she's really on the ball and we enjoyed her! Flavors yummy. Very creative menu and food items. Love the staff selection daily. Monkfish was super flavorful, but one of 2 pieces of fish was less than stellar. Restaurant knew it and picked up the tab on the meal. They did the right thing & we appreciated it. This restaurant is new to town, and what a great addition! Interesting choices on the menu. Love that they use locally grown vegetables and herbs. Loved the 60 chicken dish and the special that night - monk fish.
